Data Engineer – Graduate entry-level role

If so, we are looking for ten talented graduates to join our fast-growing Data Engineering team, working in our Data Engineering Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of the largest retail data transformation programme in Europe, as Asda separate from Walmart.

You will also benefit from having your own mentor to support your development and provide guidance on your career progression.

Your Role:

Work collaboratively with our experts to understand the data-related requirements of the business and deliver strategic data solutions

Help us to build the data eco-system required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a variety of data sources using cloud tooling

Follow data security best practices to ensure data is protected at all times

About you:

You will be proactive, resilient and self-motivated to make a difference and add value

You will need strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders

You will be commercially aware of how data can be used to drive operational and strategic decisions

2:1 Degree in any relevant STEM discipline

You'll need knowledge and/or experience of SQL Server, Python and analytics tools

You will have understanding and knowledge of Cloud technologies as well as an interest in future technologies
